The Home Report came into effect in December 2008. It is legally required when you come to sell a residential property in Scotland.
It consists of three documents, as prescribed by the Scottish Government. The three documents of the Home Report are:- the Energy Report, Single Survey and Property Questionnaire.
A Home Report is commission by the seller of the property. The Home Report must be no more than 12 weeks old when the property is put on the market. It cannot be marketed until the Home Report has been completed. If you do not market your property within the 12 weeks, you will require a replacement Single Survey to ensure the Home Report is valid and you can market your property. You are not required to pay for or instruct a completely new Home Report in this instance. For further details, please proceed to our Home Reports page.
